Carnival

We went to a ward carnival yesterday at Jess's church building. It was of course, raining outside so it was nice to get out of the house for a few hours and have some fun with the kids. Jess was there with her kids and my sister-in-law Nicole came as well with her 2 kids John and Eliana. There were musical chairs, a cake walk, bobbing for apples, cotton candy and lots of other fun stuff. We were there just under 2 hours and Anna and I both had a tummy ache by the time we left because of all the candy we ate!

Children's Museum

We went to the Everett Children's Museum today on a whim. My sister-in-law, Diedre was picking up her kids and wanted to go on her way home, so we went along with. It's an indoor interactive kids play area. There are tons of individual rooms inside with different themes. Some of the favorites were, the bank room, theatre room, vet room, cafe, water room, train room, gravity room, farm area, and shuttle. We had a great time.

Pacific Science Center

Today we went to the Pacific Science Center in downtown Seattle. My BFF Jess was there along with my neighbor Jamie who is also vacationing in Washington. The day was filled with lots of fun events. We found some fun exhibits at the PSC like the Tropic Butterfly Garden, dinosaur bones, the mirrors, and Virtual Goalie game. Afterward we took the Monorail over to Westlake Center. We walked around a bit and people watched...then we hit up PF Changs for dinner.

Camano Island

On May 30th we headed out to Camano Island for my brother's birthday celebration. Happy Birthday Matt! They live close to the rocky beaches full of driftwood that make this Island so great. Being back in Washington has been so fun. It is absolutely beautiful here. This time of year it's hard to imagine why I traded this lush greenery for the desert we currently live in. (However, I realize why during the other 9 months of the year.)

Ava

A shot of Ava while we were staying with my sister in Springville. She had just gotten out of the bath and we were getting ready for church. Her hair is in an awkward stage. It isn't long enough to put a little pony, but too long for a bow stuck to her head. I've used a few headbands in the past, but now she pulls them off. I feel like she looks like a homeless child if her hair sits on her forehead, so here's a shot of her with a spike. Grow hair...grow!

Lagoon

As I said before, we were in SLC for Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday we went to Lagoon. Neither myself or my family had ever been before and I must say that I was impressed. There were a ton of rides and carnival-like games. There was also a waterpark-which by our St. George standards was waaaaaaaaaaayyy too cold, but the entire experience was great. My sister Jana watched Ava for us and so we were able to go on all the rides with Anna and Lainie. It was a long day, but very fun.

In Washington

We left on our 6 week journey to as Paul refers to it...the PNW (Pacific Northwest) on May 25th. We headed to the Salt Lake area for Memorial day weekend. I met up with several of my freshman year college buddies and we had a little reunion. Monday we drove for 13 1/2 hours to Lake Stevens, WA....where my BFF Jessica has so willingly opened her house up to us for the next several weeks. I have many pics over these last few weeks, but have yet to upload them to Paul's laptop...hopefully soon. Until then....

Washing Cars

The girls had a great time washing our cars with their daddy. They splashed and played and did a great job getting random spots cleaned. Paul would spray them occasionally and they would let out girlish screams. They can't wait until the cars are dirty again.

Young Love...

This is my friend Melissa's son Jake. Lainie and him are so cute together. We were at another friends house for lunch today and I snapped a shot of Jake giving Lainie a little sweet kiss.

Pre-School Graduation

Today was Anna's pre-school graduation. (Tear) She did a great job reciting Little Bo Peep in front of her classmates and parents. All the students received an award along with their diploma...things like best artist, best storyteller, and most giggly. Anna received the Most Fashionable Award. So funny! Here she is posed with BFF Madee who received the award for Most Giggly.

NOT in the mood...

I took some amazing pictures of Ava today using my sweet new flash. I made the mistake of taking several before I looked at the playback menu and noticed that they were completely too bright. By this time however, Ava was no longer in the mood to be my model. She was done.

Smooches from Daddy

It's been so wonderful having Paul home FINALLY! He was gone for 5 1/2 weeks out of 6 and we sure did miss him. This photo was taken on Friday. Paul had bought a bat and ball for the girls to play with and we were all outside playing baseball. For those of you wondering, Paul was out of town for work. His next trip begins the 29th of May and will last through the 4th of July. This trip however, we will be joining him.

Dress up

Just another day of dress up. I thought Anna looked so cute in this little wedding dress. I especially liked her shoes. I can't wait until she's big enough and we can share shoes/clothes. Why can't I still shop in the juniors department when I'm 40?

New Dresses

Paul's mom sent down a few dresses for the girls. They wore them to church today and I thought I'd take a couple pictures of them wearing them. Thanks Nonnie.

Another day...

Anna is so beautiful! I am her mother though, so of course I think that. Paul is not looking forward to the day when she discovers boys. We are indeed heading for trouble...especially with 3 beautiful ladies.
