Today we went up to the Veyo Merc, paid $5 for our tree permit and were on our way to find the perfect Christmas tree. We've done this a few years now, and have gone to a different place each year. This year we opted to find a tree closer to home in Pine Valley, only 10 miles from our house. Of course living in the desert, there aren't a lot of nice christmas-like fir trees around. Our 2 choices were Juniper (round with berries) or Pine (sparse needles and lots of sap). We have a nice beater truck now and we took it all over the dirt roads, scouting out the best areas to find ourselves the perfect tree.
