Swim Party

For Anna's birthday this year she decided that she would like to go swimming at Sand Hollow Pool...so that's what we did-our family and 14 other kids in our neighborhood. Paul and another one of the kids fathers spent the entire time with multiple kids on their backs. They all had a great time and I'm sure they'll all sleep well tonight.

At the Park...

We've all be under the weather lately and felt a little stir crazy from being home too long. We had to get out! It was so nice out yesterday, so we took a walk to the mailbox. (1/2 mile from our house.) The mailboxes are real close to a little community playground that the girls enjoy going to. We hung out for awhile before Lainie was feeling not so great again and then ventured home. In the above pics, Ava is enjoying the taste of dead grass in her mouth, while Lainie has observed some "doggy do-do" in the park.

Sink Bath

Ava is the very first of our three ladies that has been given the opportunity to bathe in our sink. I put her there only because I was feeling too lazy to hang out in the bathroom while she played in the water. (The idea of sitting on the toilet for any length of time wasn't appealing.) Why hasn't anyone ever told me about the sink bath before? I loved it! Not only was she happy to have her own little tub, but I was thrilled I didn't have to bend over the edge of the tub to wash her. I guess with my first, bathtime was more of an event, a nightly routine. A routine whose length would be determined by the crankiness of my child. Now however, it is more of a duty-one that has been made a little easier with the discovery of the sink bath. Posted by Picasa

Lainie's Birthday

I can't believe Lainie is 3! The years pass so quickly. I didn't get too many pics of her little party since I was trying to film it. She kept saying over and over...it's my birthday. It was really sweet. We opted for a cupcake tower this year instead of the traditional cake. Lainie licked the frosting off of at least 6 of them. Anna wasn't feeling well and was already in her jammies. Lainie decided to join her and have a pajama party. Posted by Picasa

Brothers...

2 of Paul's brothers bowled with us. Here they are outside the bowling alley. Trent will be heading to the MTC on Wednesday. He is going to Argentina. Posted by Picasa

Bowling

Lainie had a birthday on Sunday! She is now 3. We decided to go bowling Saturday to help celebrate her special day. She enjoyed a few frames and then decided she was done. A cookie break helped bring her spirits back up, but still 4 frames was her max. Posted by Picasa

Seattle Aquarium

One of the outtings we had while visiting the great state of Washington, was a trip to the Seattle Aquarium. It was fun for the girls to see all the seals, otters, fish, etc. Anna's favorite was the octopus. He was huddled in the corner of his tank most of the time, but we caught him in action and snuck a picture. Lainie liked the starfish. She was able to touch them in one of the tanks. Posted by Picasa

We're Back!

We are finally back home again. And boy was that ever a long trip. It was great visiting with friends and family, but it's definately nice to be home again. This particular picture is of my brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Diedre Patterson and Paul and myself before we headed out for dinner to celebrate Diedre's birthday and Paul and my 7th anniversary. Posted by Picasa
