I took my sister's family pictures and while there, I toted along my family and set up the camera for her to take pictures of us. It was freezing and by the time I got around to take Lily's picture, she was too cold to give me her usual sweet smile. The last picture is our Christmas card this year.

Leaves

Just a few more from Thanksgiving. This time of year I always wish I were back home at my grandma's celebrating the holidays the traditional way I did growing up. Now it's time to create some traditions for my own kids. The holidays spent with their cousins is one of those traditions. I feel so lucky to have my sister so close. Love you Jen.

Ava's Jump

Photobucket
I think the running start may have been her favorite part.

Photobucket
Almost there....

Photobucket
Then she comes to a halt and sits down...saying "cheese." Wow, she's trained!

Lainie's Jump

Photobucket
Another running start.

Photobucket
The jump...

Photobucket
eyes shut of course and then onto her knees.

Photobucket
and every landing looked like this.

Photobucket
she couldn't be more proud of herself. Such a cutie.

Anna's Jump

Photobucket
It all started with a pile of leaves.

Photobucket
She wanted a running start.

Photobucket
And she overjumped and missed that pile of leaves!

Photobucket
Now she's telling me, "I'm going to try that again."

Photobucket
This time.....

Photobucket
She made it!

More of our Thanksgiving leaf jumping to come...stay tuned.

Last day of school was full of fun and parties. I helped in Lainie's class where we had a thanksgiving feast and made turkey's out of oreo cookies. We truely have a lot to be thankful for.

Lucky for us, Paul's mom was able to visit for a few days following a business trip she had. We enjoyed the visit and wish so much that she didn't live so far away. These pics were taken the night before she left our house at good old Outback steakhouse.

Apparently Anna is into rabbit ears...nice.

End of Soccer Season

Photobucket

Photobucket

Another great soccer season has come to a close. Anna's team did so well and were undefeated for the second year in a row. This was Lainie's first year. I wondered how well she would do being quite the cheerleader, but she loved it! In one of her games she asked me why I didn't cheer for her as loud as I cheer for Anna and I felt terrible. I did cheer, just not as often I guess. (Truth be told, Anna's games were just a bit more intense.) From then on I cheered my heart out for her. It paid off, she scored her very first goal in the second to last game and could not have been more proud of herself. It was awesome. Next fall should be interesting with 3 in soccer.

Halloween seemed to come so quickly this year. We had soccer games in the afternoon and then came home for a quick pumpkin carving session and dinner, then out trick or treating with our neighborhood friends. The babes lasted about an hour and then I brought them home while Paul finished up with the girls.

darn gopher!

Photobucket

Photobucket

I apologize to any of my PNW friends who are animal rights fans, but this gopher needed to die! I patiently waited 5 long years to get grass and this little guy along with several of his friends are ripping up my yard! They sell smoke bombs and I've heard stories about juicy fruit gum, but there is a certain satisfaction that comes with seeing the actual carcass.

For those of you who were asking to see it. Not sure how I feel about the bangs.
