Just before Bedtime

Birthday Party

Saturday we went to Fiesta Fun to help celebrate our neighbor friend Averie's 4th birthday. It was a huge party...full of friends and family. We ate pizza, cake, played games in the arcade and turned our tickets for junk at the end. It was a fun day. (I realize the one of Anna is blurry, but it was one of the only I shot of her that day-and I feel a pressing need to show a photo of each of the girls as not to play favorites. )

Waiting for the bus

I love that Anna has afternoon kindergarten. We play all morning long and never have to worry about time. I don't know what I'm going to do next year when school starts at 8:30. I might have to set my alarm!

Family Prayers

It was Lainie's turn to say family prayers tonight and she wanted daddy to help her towards the middle of her prayer. Paul told her what to say several times and she repeated it. She obviously started feeling like the prayer was getting too long because when he suggested something else to say, she immediately said, "did you mean Amen?" We all tried our hardest not to laugh, but failed and then of course we ended the prayer.

Reading

Anna is reading a little bit now and loves showing off her stuff to her sister Lainie. I caught them this morning on the couch...it was so cute.

Rodeo Parade

The girls and I went to a parade today...the Rodeo parade. Lots of cowboys, horses, rodeo princesses and CANDY! A few other neighborhood friends came too. All girls except for Jake! He'll love that later I'm sure. Paul's brother Terry came as well. (He often helps me with the girls a bit if Paul isn't there to help...such a great brother-in-law.) And BTW, Ava pulled out her hair tie in the car...I don't usually style it that way!

Dammeron Fire & Rescue

Thursday night we went to a BBQ for all the volunteers at our local fire department. It's filled with lots of old men and Paul. :) He enjoys it though and hopes his years of volunteer work will look good on his resume to get onto the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Award Day

Anna received her first award today at an assembly at school. (Each child receives 2 per year.) She certainly is a "fun friend." Love you Anna Jane.

Outside

Just hanging outside with my girls a bit this evening...the weather is cooling off a bit and it's actually somewhat bearable to be outside again. I am absolutely in love with my ladies.

Happy Birthday Momma!

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mother! I love you so much! I hope you are able to do something fun to celebrate your special day today...other than missionary work of course. :)

EEG

Had Ava's EEG this morning. All went well. They sedated her and then put all the probes on her head. The whole thing took about 2 hours. She was starving by the time we got home. No word for about a week on the outcome of the test. They have to send everything up to a pediatric neurologist at Primary Children's Hospital in SLC. I'll keep you all posted.

Hair do

Anna is just learning how to put in hair ties by herself. This was her masterpiece today which she insisted she wear to school. I opposed politely and suggested she continue with her hair innovations on play days.

Feet

For Leah....Ava was out walking barefoot in the garage while Paul was changing out my sisters brakes. Both feet were coated in brake dust.
