What to do?
No, I didn't cut her hair into a mohawk...this is how it grows. I shaved her head once at 4 months and once at 8 months hoping that it would grow in even, but alas it has not. Now I'm at a loss for what to do. Do I shave it again or do I endure this awkward stage and let it grow out a little so I can put it into a pony? I really don't think I can handle it much longer...I need to buzz it.

my vote is so embrace the mohawk! i think it's awesome :) then again, i'm a mother to boys so what do i know, really? good luck!
Let it grow!!! It is better that it is longer on top, because the once the back starts growing it will grow faster. This way the top will already be caught up to the back. It really is the perfect way to grow a set of hair.
I love it!
That is EXACTLY like my little Brooklyn's. She is 2 now and still has kinda weird hair. I've buzzed it, cut it, layered it and now I just put it in elastics every day. I can't wait for the awkward stage to be over too.... I would suggest letting it grow and pony it. :) They're all so darling, you could do just about anything and they'd still look adorable!
Grow it. You know Annie tried to do "compensation" cuts so that once the shorter hair started to grow it would hopefully all be the same length, but that never worked either. It just grew an opposite mowhawk in the back. Wear some hats and cute bows and before you know it, this stage will be over!
Its like a pimple though....you just don't want to let it sit, you want it to go away NOW.
She is so cute, I don't think it matters what you do to her hair.
I already cast my vote when we were visiting....but to recap... Please let it grow! :) Isabela had the sweetest natural mohawk and we got tons of compliments.
Yeah, I say buy some hair gel and mohawk that badboy, haha. It'll eventually even out!!
Let it grow!! She is a beauty whatever you do.....
