So Anna and Lainie were outside playing this morning while I was inside cleaning. All the sudden my back door opens and they run in talking so loud and so fast I can't understand them. "A big hairy bug is outside mom, come see." So I proceed to follow them to the side of my house and see this HUGE tarantula hanging out in my lawn. I realize that tarantulas aren't dangerous, but they're big and unsightly, not to mention the fact that I HATE spiders. So, I went over to my neighbor's house who rescues me from time to time and he came over and relocated it. Thanks Ken! I should be used to the creatures of the desert by now-we've lived here for over 5 years, but this is the first tarantula at our house. We have had our share of scorpions and one rattlesnake though. Remind me again, why do I live here?

Eewwwh!

I honestly think I would have taken off running and left my children-that is the sickest scariest thing ever.

OH I would die, I WOULD DIE!!!!! We're talking about moving to AZ and all I can think about is the scorpions!!!!! AHHHH! I never even drempt that trantulas are also a possibility! I'm going to DIE!

Wow- Spiders totally freak me out! I'm so glad you took a picture of it! So scary! Scorpions and rattlesnakes? Yikes!
